Product Introduction
API 5DP drill pipe usually consists of joints, pipe bodies, and threaded connection parts.
- Joint: used to connect drill pipe segments and transmit torque and axial force. There are many types of joint designs, including inner thickening, outer thickening and overall thickening.
- Pipe body: the main part of the drill pipe, usually made of high strength seamless steel pipe to ensure adequate strength and toughness.
- Thread connection part: the connection between the joint and the pipe body is usually threaded, including NC (digital control) thread and IC (internal expansion) thread and other types. These threads are designed for good sealing and connection strength.
