Production Process of Bulletproof Steel Plate

Raw material selection and pretreatment:

Heat treatment:

Quenching and tempering are the key steps in the manufacture of bulletproof steel plates. Quenching makes the steel plate obtain high hardness by rapid cooling, while tempering eliminates quenching stress by proper heating and insulation. This can improve the toughness and comprehensive mechanical properties of the material.

Surface treatment:

Bulletproof steel plate often needs surface treatment such as shot peening and rolling strengthening to improve its elastic resistance and surface quality.

For some high-end applications, workers will also perform coating treatment, such as galvanized, aluminum plating and so on. This enhances anti-corrosion properties.
