Performance Characteristics of Seamless Boiler Tubes
High strength: The seamless boiler tubes can withstand the high temperature and high pressure working environment in the boiler to ensure the stable operation of the system.
Excellent corrosion resistance: made of high-quality materials, it can effectively resist medium corrosion and extend service life.
Good sealing: Seamless construction reduces the risk of leakage and improves the safety of the system.
Good thermal conductivity: can quickly transfer heat, improve the thermal efficiency of the boiler.
Machinability and flexibility: cutting, bending, welding and other processing can be performed according to specific needs. This can meet the layout requirements of complex systems.
Production Technology of Cold-Drawn Seamless Boiler Tubes
For seamless boiler tubes requiring higher precision and smaller wall thickness, the cold-drawing process can be used for production. Its main steps include:
Billet preparation: Select the appropriate billet or hot-rolled steel pipe as raw material for surface treatment and pre-processing.
Pickling lubrication: The blank is pickled to remove surface oxides and impurities, and lubricated for subsequent cold drawing.
Cold drawing: The billet is cold-drawn many times by a cold rolling or cold-drawing machine, which can gradually reduce its diameter and wall thickness, thus achieving the required size and accuracy.
Heat treatment: Similar to the hot-rolling process, cold-drawn steel pipes undergo a heat treatment step that improves their structure and properties.
Follow-up treatment: including straightening, finishing, inspection and storage steps, the production process is the same as that of hot rolling.
