Type of High Strength Bolt
Friction type high strength bolt: mainly used for the connection of brake systems and important structures that bear dynamic loads. Such as the connection of heavy crane beam, solid belly beam connection, etc. Its characteristic is that when subjected to shear force, there will be no relative slip deformation between plates, but rely on friction to transfer external force.
Pressure type bolt: mainly used for static or a little sliding structural parts between the connection, requiring high-strength bolts with strong resistance to pressure and shear. In the shear design, the external shear force is allowed to exceed the maximum friction force. This will cause relative slip deformation between the connected plates. Therefore, the final force is transmitted by the shear of the bolt rod body, the pressure of the hole wall and the friction between the contact surfaces of the plate.
Tensile bolt: mainly used for the flange connection of the compression part, requiring that the bolt is not easy to deform, break or fall off when subjected to strong tension.
