HS3-3-2,1.3333 | High-speed Tool Steel

Product Description

Products Features

High hardness: After heat treatment, the hardness of high-speed tool steel can reach 60-67HRC, so that it can withstand large cutting load without deformation or damage.

Wear resistance: Because HSS steel contains a large number of alloy elements, such as tungsten (W), molybdenum (Mo), chromium (Cr), vanadium (V), etc., these elements can significantly improve the wear resistance of steel and extend the service life of tools.

Heat resistance: it can still maintain good hardness and cutting performance at high temperature, suitable for high-speed cutting and heavy cutting and other harsh working conditions.

Good red hardness: that is, the ability to maintain hardness at high temperatures, which makes this steel not easy to soften during cutting, thus maintaining stable cutting properties.

Classification Of High-speed Tool Steel

1. Tungsten high-speed steel:

The main alloying element is tungsten (W), the common grades are W18Cr4V, W9Cr4V2, etc.

With high hardness, hot hardness and wear resistance, it is suitable for making cutting tools that need to withstand high temperature and pressure.

2. Tungsten and molybdenum high-speed steel:

At the same time contains tungsten (W) and molybdenum (Mo) two alloy elements, common grades are W6Mo5Cr4V2 (6-5-4-2 high-speed steel), etc.

It has better comprehensive performance than tungsten high-speed steel, and is suitable for manufacturing various complex tools and molds.

3. High carbon high-speed steel:

The carbon content is high, and the common brands are T1 (W1.5Mo4Cr4V3Co5).

It has high hardness and wear resistance, but relatively low toughness. It is suitable for manufacturing tools with high hardness and wear resistance.

4. Cobalt high-speed tool steel:

Contains a certain amount of cobalt (Co), common brands are M35, M42, etc.

With high heat hardness and wear resistance, it is suitable for manufacturing tools working under high temperature and high pressure, such as twist drill, milling cutter, etc.

5. Aluminum high-speed steel:

Contains a certain amount of aluminum (Al) to improve the thermal stability and oxidation resistance of steel.

Mainly used in the manufacture of high temperature working tools and molds.

Application Field Of High-speed Steel

1. Mechanical processing field

Highspeed tool steel is the main material for manufacturing various cutting tools, such as turning tools, milling tools, drills, taps, etc.

These tools play a key role in metal cutting and can significantly improve processing efficiency and product quality.

2. Mold manufacturing field

It can also make a variety of molds (such as stamping die, pressing die, drawing die, etc.).

These molds can withstand high temperature and pressure to ensure the shape and dimensional accuracy of the product.

3. Aerospace sector

In the aerospace sector, high-speed steel enables the manufacture of some key components and tools, such as engine blades, turbine discs, etc. These components need to withstand extreme environments of high temperature and pressure, which require extremely high performance of materials.
