Processing Of SM490 Steel H Beam

1. Smelting and refining

Blast furnace smelting: workers put raw materials into a blast furnace for smelting. Through the processes of calcination, melting, decomposition and reduction under high temperature and high pressure, molten iron liquid is obtained.

Process control: They regulate the necessary physical and chemical parameters of molten iron to accurately control the composition and properties.

Refining treatment: by adjusting the chemical composition and temperature of molten steel, using vacuum pumping, refining and other methods, remove impurities and non-metallic inclusions in steel, control the amount of oxygen, nitrogen and hydrogen, etc., to ensure the uniformity and stability of subsequent rolling steel.

2. Continuous casting and rolling

Continuous casting molding: Workers feed the refined molten steel into a continuous casting machine. After solidification, the molten steel forms semi-finished products such as strips or plates. For H-beam steels, specific continuous casting molds are able to develop their unique cross-section shapes.

Cooling and cutting: The semi-finished products after continuous casting are cooled and then cut to obtain the blanks that meet the requirements.

Rolling molding: We will use the rolling mill to roll the blank. By controlling parameters such as rolling temperature, rolling speed and pressing amount, the billet is gradually deformed to meet the size and shape requirements of H-beam.

3. Finishing and heat treatment

Finishing: After rolling, H-beam steel needs finishing, including crimping, trimming, deburring, leveling and other steps to improve its surface finish and accuracy.

Heat treatment: According to the customer’s requirements and the specific use of H-beam, we will carry out heat treatment to improve its performance. Common heat treatment methods include normalizing, tempering and so on.

4. Quality inspection and packaging

Quality inspection: The factory conducts strict quality inspection on the H-beam produced to ensure that it meets relevant standards and requirements.

Packaging and transportation: Package qualified steel products and prepare them for transportation to the place designated by the customer.
