What is CHQ Wire Rod
The term “cold heading quality” (CHQ) refers to steel wire that produced by drawing and annealing wire rods. Three main cold heading processes – HRPPD Process, DAPPD Process, and SAPPD Process. – Employed to craft CHQ Wires. This type of steel made with specific raw materials and chemistry in order to be able to endure swedging, heading, and forming without a decrease in quality. Process of CHQ Wire Rod
Pickling & Coating
The hot-rolled coil or wire rod passes through the pickling line. Where hydrochloric acid solution used to remove surface scale for clean surface finish before further processing and to form a lubrication film on the surface to reduce friction during drawing and cold working. During the process, the Gantry Crane moves between the tanks.
Wire drawing machine consists of Supply Stand, Drawing Drum, Take up stages, which produce half-finished coil products for spheroidized annealing.
Cold work enhanced by this annealing process of obtaining spheroidized carbides. Once inserted in the heat treatment furnace, the process takes place in the order of controlled heating up to a given time, temperature and furnace atmosphere, followed by maintaining such temperature for a specified period and controlling cooling in accordance with the intended purpose. Automatic heat cycles control this process.
The wire drawing machine produces half-finished coils where products meet the customers’ needs in terms of the size and mechanical properties of products.
