What Threaded ERW Steel Pipe is?
A threaded pipe is a pipe with screw-threaded ends for assembly. The best known and most widely used connection where the pipe thread provides both the mechanical joint. And the hydraulic seal is the American National Pipe Tapered Thread, or NPT. NPT has a tapered male and female thread which seals with Teflon tape or jointing compound.
Supply Range of Threaded ERW Steel Pipe
IBC’s ERW is available in all the common sizes, up to 18 NPS, and is suitable for welding, grooving, threading and bending. All black pipe treated with coating to prevent corrosion, for extended service life in all kinds of low-pressure and mechanical applications, as well as air, steam, water, and gas lines. It’s also available in a variety of combinations: ASTM A53 ERW Type E, Grade B purchased in plain end, roll groove, threaded and coupled, or threads only (one end or both).
- Outside Diameter: 21.3mm ~ 168.3mm
- Wall Thickness: 1.0 mm ~ 17.5 mm

- Usage: For Low Pressure Fluid Transmission, Machinery Manufacturing
Of course, threaded end pipe not only with ERW pipe, it could also apply on Seamless Steel Pipes. It will depending on requirements of your projects.
Usage of Threaded ERW Pipe
Pipe threads used in hydraulic circuits can divide into two types. One is Jointing threads. This pipe threads for joints made pressure tight by sealing on the threads and taper external and parallel or taper internal threads. The other one is Fastening threads. It is pipe threads where pressure tight joints not made on the threads.
Conclusion
IBC Metal Group produce all kinds of different pipes with different ends. Such as bell and spigot pipes, grooved steel pipes, and spherical socket end pipe with air chamber. Or other types according to your projects needs.
Whether your customers demand factory hot-dipped galvanized or black pipe. Or your clients require grooved end, or threaded erw steel pipe, rely on IBC Metal Group for a wide range of dependable electric-resistance welded (ERW) steel pipe.

Threaded black steel fittings connect to black steel and black iron pipe for transporting gas and water, protecting electrical wiring, or delivering high-pressure steam and air. Uncoated black steel and iron fittings, also called black malleable iron fittings, are made from corrosion-resistant ungalvanized steel with a scaly, dark-colored iron oxide coating. These fittings are used in piping systems to change direction or connect to equipment or devices. Threaded fittings twist onto pipe using various male and female thread connections including NPT (National Pipe Thread) or BSPT (British Standard Pipe Taper). Threaded fittings come in a variety of sizes and shapes.
